John Turney
John Turney is Head of Global Foreign Exchange at Northern Trust Capital Markets.
Prior to this appointment, John has held a number of senior positions across Northern Trust Global Foreign Exchange, including developing and managing CompleteFX (outsourced FX transaction processing and execution service), leading the PASCO (passive currency hedging) business; FX sales and relationship management and operations and technology to support the FX business.
John has also served as a Vice President of Luminous Capital, now a division of First Republic Investment Management. While at Luminous, John worked closely with one of the firm’s founding partners managing a portion of the firm’s then $6bn in assets across various liquid and illiquid strategies.
John holds a B.S. degree in International Political Economy, Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University – 2007.

Kia Oboudiyat
Kia is responsible for promoting Northern Trust's FX product to institutional clients within the APAC region. His role includes maintaining existing and developing new FX relationships, targeting growth of both custody and third party flow. Other responsibilities include marketing the bank's e-commerce strategy and maintaining a consistent customer calling programme.
Kia joined Northern Trust in Chicago in 2014 and relocated to Sydney in 2016. Kia has over 10 years' experience across Capital Markets, FX and Investment Operations.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, Kia worked in Sydney, New York and Miami for Macquarie, holding various product & business development positions in the institutional brokerage, equity arbitrage and credit trading businesses with a focus on FX and Emerging Markets.
Kia holds a bachelor's degree in finance together with a bachelor's of law from Macquarie University.
